Ricky Dean Childers, 35, of 1219 Cherokee Ave., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at his home.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of John Richard Childers and Mary Childers of York and Jeanette Childers Mullinax Allison and Donald Allison of Gaffney. He was formerly employed by Hardees and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents and step-parents, he is survived by three brothers, Randy Edward Childers, John Curtis Childers and Dewayne Childers, all of Gaffney; maternal grandmother, Margie V. Childers of Gaffney; and a loving friend, Shirley Mullinax.

Mr. Childers' body has been taken to the home at 1219 Cherokee Ave., where the family will receive friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery.
