Blacksburg Senior Center offering self-help classes

Senior Centers of Cherokee County will be offering eight weeks of classes on the Arthritis Foundation's exercise program on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Jan. 6. This non-clinical group exercise is designed to help those who have joint or muscle problems. The program consists of exercise, health education, movement activities and relaxation exercise.

A Chronic Disease Living Well Program will be offered to those who have a chronic disease but are not educated about their illness. These classes will start Jan. 7 and continue each Wednesday for six weeks.
