Howard W. Mabry Sr.
Howard Wallace Mabry, Sr., 79, of 510 Thompson St., formerly of 133 Loche Adele Drive, Spartanburg, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Brookview Healthcare Center.
Born Jan. 27, 1929, in Candler, N.C., he was the son of the late Jefferson E. and Hester Shook Mabry. He was retired from Flowers Bakery Company after 38 He was a
member of El Bethel United
Methodist Church
of Spartanburg and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include a son, Howard Wallace (Wally) Mabry Jr. and his wife, Lori Carr Mabry, of Spartanburg; and two brothers, Walker Mabry of Wilson, N.C., and Donnie Mabry of Spartanburg.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mabry was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Earl Mabry, Shuford Mabry, William Mabry, Marie Mabry McGraw, Viola Mabry Chandler, Dorothy Mabry Ashby and Loretta Mabry Gwinn.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Sunset Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Jack A. Caldwell.

The family is at the home of his son, Wally Mabry, 357 Fairlane Drive, Spartanburg.
