Born June 11, 1938, in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Midous Berry and the late Mollie Parris Berry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T.

      Martha Sue Cash Hayes, 71, of 105 Catherine St., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Newton Loran and the late Myrtle Painter Cash. Ms. Hayes worked in textiles for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith.

      Thomas Michael Owens, 46, of 1440 Goucher School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at his residence. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Eugene Owens and Barbara Painter Owens. He was employed by Warco Construction as a foreman and was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church.

Volunteer at Richland Memorial Hospital for 30 years
      COLUMBIA - Anne Wood Wallace, 71, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, after a long bout with cancer. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late T.V. Wood and Annie Belle Smith Wood. Mrs. Wallace was a member of First Baptist Church and the Bible Survey Sunday School Class. She was a brave and much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

      Fulvia K. Dover, 91, of Gastonia, N.C., passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Alexandria Place in Gastonia. Mrs. Dover was born June 10, 1917, in Cherokee County and resided in Blacksburg before moving to York. Daughter of the late Charles and Katherine Leagon Kiser, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Dover; four sisters and two brothers.

Mrs. Thomas was the widow of Belton Thomas and was born in Cherokee County. Her parents were the late Fitzhugh and Lou Della Harris Ruppe.

She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
