Anne Wallace
COLUMBIA - Anne Wood Wallace, 71, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, after a long bout with cancer.
Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late T.V. Wood and Annie Belle Smith Wood. Mrs. Wallace was a member of First Baptist Church and the Bible Survey Sunday School Class. She was a brave and much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. An avid lover of beach music, she volunteered at Richland Memorial Hospital for 30 years.
Surviving are her husband of 52 1/2 years, William C. "Bill" Wallace; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Pam Wallace of Gilbert; two beloved grandchildren, Blythe Wallace and Zane Wallace of Gilbert; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Irene Wood of Gaffney; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rachael and Roy Henderson of Florida.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wallace was predeceased by son, William C. "Billy" Wallace Jr.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.
