SPARTANBURG - Bertie Elvira Ruppe Thomas, 94, of 710 River Road, Cowpens, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, Dec. 23, 2008, at the Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Thomas was the widow of Belton Thomas and was born in Cherokee County. Her parents were the late Fitzhugh and Lou Della Harris Ruppe.

Arrangements will be announced at a later date by Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens.
