Fulvia K. Dover
Fulvia K. Dover, 91, of Gastonia, N.C., passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Alexandria Place in Gastonia.
Mrs. Dover was born June 10, 1917, in Cherokee County and resided in Blacksburg before moving to York. Daughter of the late Charles and Katherine Leagon Kiser, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Dover; four sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are two sons, Charles, US Army retired and his wife, Anna, and Jerry, RPh and his wife, Brenda, all of York. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tom and his wife, Debbie, Chuck, Matt, MBA and his wife, Christina, Clint, EIT, three great-grandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Dover resided at the home of Jerry and Brenda in York for a number of years. She was a devoted grandmother to Matt and Clint before going to the nursing home. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, sewing and home cooking for the family and the joy she showed in being a grandparent. We will miss her dearly.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 11 a.m. at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Jerry and Brenda, 200 Cottage Place, York.
