Gaffney lineman earns All-state recognition

      Gaffney offensive lineman Denzelle Good stood taller than competition on the field, helping lead Indian running backs through opposing defenses on a weekly basis. Now, less than a week after participating in the annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas all-star game, Good is now among elite company with the South Carolina's best football players.

      Gaffney High basketball players celebrated the Christmas holiday Monday with a 92-65 victory over Chesnee to clinch the Substation II tournament championship. Chesnee kept pace with Gaffney in the first half, playing the game at the torrid tempo that has become the Indians' trademark under head coach Mark Huff.
