Myrtle Huskey Price, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of James Woodrow Price and daughter of the late James Lee Huskey and Alice Hammett Huskey. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Kay Price of the home; son-in-law, George L. Ramsey of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Louis Ramsey Jr. of the home and Sharon Plocharczyk and husband, Paul, of Charlotte; two greatgrandchildren, Amanda Threadgill and Aaron Plocharczyk, both of Charlotte; and a sister, Janell McCraw of Gaffney.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Price was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ramsey; five brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 27, from 2-3 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will follow at 3 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Wofford Caughman officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cherokee County Unit, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615; or to the Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 502 Buck Shoals Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
