LEDGER READERS ON THE ROAD
Brenda Crawford of Gaffney and daughter Christy McCoy of Charleston enjoy reading The Gaffney Ledger while at Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston, Missouri, during Thanksgiving. Lambert's Cafe was voted No. 1 on The Travel Channel as the "BEST PLACE TO PIG OUT" in the United States. On your next trip out of town, or tour of duty, take a copy of The Ledger along and send a picture of yourself or your group reading the newspaper to: cody@gaffneyledger.com. Jennifer, Donna and Brewton Sams enjoyed reading The Gaffney Ledger at the Pyramids of Giza near Cairo, Egypt. The Sams spent two weeks in Egypt exploring historical sites, beginning at Alexandria on the Mediterranean, inland to Cairo and along the Nile, south to Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel. Dr. Wes Turnage and his wife, Kim, enjoyed a long weekend in Las Vegas last weekend. Also enjoying the glitz and glamour (and the Annual Rodeo Federation) were Dick and Pricilla Haflich (Dr. T's aunt and her husband) and Hona Childers, Kim's sister. Alex Clary and her Aunt Rainee recently enjoyed a trip to the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C., to see the gingerbread houses on display from the 2008 National Gingerbread House Competition. |
