Edith M. Fulton
BLACKSBURG - Edith Martin Fulton, 92, of 108 Houser Road, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at White Oak Manor in Shelby, N.C.
Born in York County, Mrs. Fulton was the widow of Gabriel D. Fulton and daughter of the late Arnton London Martin and the late Hattie Lowdermilk Martin. She worked as a winder in textiles and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Wylie Wayne Fulton of Forest City, N.C., Bobby Gordon Fulton, Daniel Martin Fulton, both of Blacksburg, Larry Samuel Fulton of Huntersville, Ala., and Lanny Gene Fulton of Spartanburg; three daughters, Norma Fulton Thompson of Clemmons, N.C., Elizabeth Fulton Stoughton of Salley and Rebecca Elaine Fulton of Lexington; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Fulton was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Fulton, and a son, Jimmy Lee Fulton.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at Mount Paran Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Vernon Craig officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
Pallbearers will be Bud Fulton, Nathan Fulton, John Fulton, Jimmy Fulton, Wesley Fulton, Brad Fulton and Bobby Kirk.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Iron City Ministries, P.O. Box 604, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
