Forest Lee Montgomery, 67, of 189 Leaf Ave., Central Islip, Long Island, N.Y., husband of Elizabeth Montgomery, passed away Wednesday night, Dec. 26, 2008, at his residence.

Son of the late Minnie Montgomery and the late Crawley Montgomery, he was born on Sept. 14, 1941, in Gaffney. His church membership was in New York and he attended Mount Zion Baptist Church of Gaffney. He was a retired employee of the New York Transit Authority.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Sean Montgomery (Kim) and Trevor Montgomery, both of Central Islip, N.Y.; his brother Larry Montgomery (Diane) of Gaffney; two grandchildren; three aunts, Margaret Montgomery, Quincy Dawkins and Lois Jackson, all of Gaffney; an uncle, Fred Dawkins of Washington, D.C.; and a host of other relatives.

Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. at Roses's Funeral Home of Central Islip, Long island, N.Y. (Courtesy of Foster Funeral Home)
