David Edward (Dave) Holler, 54, of 1365 Ellis Ferry Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Wadsworth, Ohio, he was the husband of Vera Pettit Holler and son of the late Joseph Edward Holler and Viola Deisz Holler. He was an avid Cleveland Browns football fan and NASCAR fan. Mr. Holler was an employee of Milliken and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter, Viva Wheat and husband, Eric, of Gaffney; two sisters, Jan Kropf and husband, Richard, of Gaffney and Judy Heather and husband, Dan, of Ohio; and three step-grandchildren, Wayne Matthews, Erika Wheat and Faith Wheat.

The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lewis Batchelor and Alan Dollar officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the residence.
