Evans Lee Hiatt
Paramedic with Spartanburg EMS and Chesnee Community Rescue 7

Evans Lee Hiatt, 54, of 1749 Ezell Road, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008 ,at his residence.

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, he was the husband of Karan Millwood Hiatt of the home and son of the late Harvey Lee and Jessie Goad Hiatt. He was a paramedic for Spartanburg EMS for seven years and Chesnee Community Rescue 7 for 23 years. Mr. Hiatt was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Evan LeAnn Hiatt and Harley Danielle Hiatt, both of Chesnee; a son, Christopher Adam Hiatt of Chesnee; and a grandson, Elias Blake Roberts.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Chesnee First Baptist Church with the Rev. Preston Edmonds and Jimmy Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
