N.C. group urges support of Huckabee campaign

Dear Editor:

This is a simple letter from a group of regular folk who live in and around Raleigh, N.C., - your sister state to the north.

We'd like to ask a favor of you and your local readers who vote regularly in your community.

We'd sure appreciate it if you and they would consider marking your ballots for Mike Huckabee in the South Carolina Republican Primary on Saturday, Jan. 19. He's the immediate past governor of Arkansas.

We urge you to learn about his positions on the issues and decide for yourselves if you would like to support his candidacy for president. His Web site is www.mikehuckabee.com.

We know Mike as a worthy, honest, authentic statesman who deserves to present his Vision for America as the Republican nominee for president of the United States of America.

We're a bunch of Republican, Democrat, Independent and "Other" registered voters who are disappointed to know that we can't vote for Mike until Tuesday, May 6. And by that time - we think the whole nomination process will be cut and dried before we ever get to mark our ballots here in North Carolina.

With his letter in your newspaper we ask you dear editor to help us "vote early" through your readers who can give voice to our belief in Mike Huckabee for president of the United States of America.
Sincerely,
Melinda Baran
