Nicole Elizabeth Southgate

Donna Southgate of Gaffney announces the engagement of her daughter, Nicole Elizabeth, to Tyler Nunn Lowe of Lake Wylie.

Miss Southgate is also the daughter of the late Richard Southgate. Her grandparents are the Rev. and Mrs. Alester McKinney of Gaffney and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Southgate who resided in Mt. Airy, N.C. She graduated in 2005 from Converse College with a B.A. degree in Psychology and B.S. degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude. She earned a Master of Social Work degree in 2007 from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a mental health counselor at Catawba Family Center in Rock Hill.

Mr. Lowe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lowe Jr. of Clover and grandson of Gladys Nunn of Clover, Mary Lou Lowe of Fines Creek, N.C., the late Ernest Nunn and the late William Lowe Sr. He graduated from Clemson University in 2005 with a B.S. degree, cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering and is employed as a manufacturing engineer at Wilbert Plastic Services in Belmont, N.C.

The wedding is planned for September 6 at Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church.
