Gail Adams
Retired from textile industry

Nora Gail Childers Adams, 66, of 711 1st Ave., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at her residence.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Robert Childers and Catherine Maynor Childers. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Cherokee Falls Baptist Church. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by three sons, Todd Randall Benton and wife, Sherri, of Blacksburg, Jeffery Blease Spencer and Charles Bradford Benton, both of Gaffney; three daughters, Donna Tracy McDaniel and husband, Eddie, of Gaffney, Tabitha Hope Adams of Gaffney and Rebecca Richardson, of the home; two brothers, Terry Lamar Childers of Gaffney and Robin Childers of Hickory Grove; a sister, Joyce Cobb and husband, Buck, of Cherokee Falls; and six grandchildren, Zackery Spencer, Mickey Spencer, Ashley Benton, T.J. Benton, Peyton Benton, and Skyler Benton.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Adams was preceded in death by three brothers, R.L. Childers, Howard Childers and James Childers; a sister, Barbara Duncan. and a grandson, Nicholas Gage Benton.

Services will be held today at 4 p.m. at Cherokee Falls Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Tim Knotts and Vernon Mullinax. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Falls Baptist Church Building Fund, 109 School St., Cherokee Falls, S.C. 29702.

The family will be at the residence.
