Virginia Norris Reese, 67, of 5831 Colorado Ave., N.E., Washington, D.C., passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at 6:39 p.m. in Georgetown University Hospital in Washington.

Born Aug. 22, 1940, in Gaffney, she was the wife of Clifford Reese and daughter of Olivia Harrison Norris Baker and the late John Paul Norris. She graduated in 1958 from Granard High School and received a B.S. degree from Howard University in 1963. She was a retired teacher from the Washington, D.C., School System.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Vania; two sons, Christopher and Charles; four sisters, Tecora Watts of Blacksburg, Doris Harris of Gaffney, Willie Wells and Annie Steward of Washington, D.C.; and two brothers, John Paul Norris of Gaffney and James Robert Norris of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church, 2421 Lawrence St., N.R., Washington, D.C.
