Nancy Tucker SPARTANBURG - Nancy Neely Bennett Tucker, 56, went to the other side of the rainbow to meet our maker on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. She will always be the loving, doting Grandmommy to Kailey Annalara Cleveland. Raised in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Rev. William Jerry and Allene Neely Bennett. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Tucker is survived by a daughter, Kancy Tucker Cleveland and her husband, Howard, of Boiling Springs; and a brother, John Lawton Bennett, Ph.D., and his life partner, Eric Thomas Johnson, of Mooresville, N.C. She was the caring aunt of Neely Chasity Bennett, who is the daughter of Patricia Bennett of Greenville and William J. Bennett. Mrs. Tucker was the witty and life-long friend to many, including her "Lucy and Ethel" friends, Diane Lankford of Knoxville, Tenn., and Sheila Brown of Myrtle Beach. She also had "Thelma and Louise" best friends, M.L. Stankovic of Gaffney and Cindy Wells of Murrells Inlet. A Memorial Celebration will be held today at 3 p.m. at Morningside Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely and the Rev. Rick Baumgarner. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
