BLACKSBURG - W.K. "Hadecal" White, 79, of 677 S. Charleston St., died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at his home.

A native of Cherryville, N.C., Mr. White was the widower of Kathleen Patterson White and son of the late Ephram Clarence White and the late Sarah Jane Reiley White. He was a selfemployed mechanic and a member of Nazareth Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sandra White of Blacksburg; three daughters and sons-inlaw, Nancy and Richard Reinhardt of Blacksburg, Sandy Faye and Gary Benton of Grover and Kathy and Jerry Martin of Blacksburg; 10 grandchildren, Stephania Williams and husband, Rodney, of Blacksburg, Wendy Parris and husband, Danny, of Blacksburg, JerriLynn Terry and husband, David, of Shelby, Jerry Martin Jr. and wife, Michelle, of Blacksburg, Tracy Holland and husband, Darrin, of Hendersonville, N.C., Angie Mullinax and husband, Mike, of Blacksburg, Toby Humphries and wife, Rita, of Blacksburg, Pam Martin and husband, Danny Jr., of Gaffney, James V. Patterson of Earl, N.C., Victoria Carpenter of Blacksburg, and Karen Reinhardt and husband, Richard Jr., of Blacksburg; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Nazareth Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Joseph Clayton and Alton Martin. Entombment will be at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends today from 6-8:30 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Nazareth Baptist Church, 1156 Ninety-Nine Island Road, Blacksburg, S.C. 29702; or to Meals on Wheels, P.O.Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.
