Robert L. Rogers
Owner of Rogers Pest Control in Gaffney

PACOLET - Robert Lamar Rogers, 59, of 158 Myrtle Drive, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Rogers was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Spartanburg and was owner of Rogers Pest Control in Gaffney. He was one of the founders of S.C. Hunters and Landowners for the Hungry, a member of the Army National Guard, Past Master of Trough Shoals Masonic Lodge 228 of Pacolet and a member of the Hejaz Shriners.

Survivors include a son, Joshua J. Rogers, of Pacolet and numerous special and loved friends.

He was predeceased by his adopted parents, Samuel and Myrtle Littlejohn, and a brother, Laddie Rogers.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Goucher Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Hyatt. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harold Campbell, Arthur Poole, Billy Albright, Thomas Blackwell, Ernie Simmons and Larry Sutton.

Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Memorials may be made to S.C. Hunters and Landowners for the Hungry, 507 Amelia Ave., Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
