Worked at Celanese and BASF in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL - Catherine Darnell Illenz, 49, of 1938 Williford Road, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

Born in York County, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Nell Smart Winders. Mrs. Illenz was a 1976 graduate of Rock Hill High School, a member of Catawba Baptist Church, and worked at Celanese and BASF in Rock Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Illenz, of the home; two sons, Russ Illenz of Richburg and Jody Illenz of Edgemoor; a daughter, Terri Good of York; six grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Winders of Gaffney.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill.
