BLACKSBURG - Janet Marlene Mullinax Bright, 56, of 126 West Bells Branch Road, died Sunday morning, Jan. 20, 2008, at her home.

A native of Gaffney, Mrs. Bright was the wife of Rodney C. Bright and daughter of the late Grady James Mullinax and Betty Mullinax of Blacksburg. She worked in accounts receivable at American Decorative Fabrics and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Bright is survived by two sons, Rodney A. Bright of Gaffney and Travis Bright of Gaffney; a daughter, Chasity Dowdle of Blacksburg; two brothers, Jimmy Mullinax of Greenville and Johnny Mullinax of Charlotte; two sisters, Judy Moore and Debbie Mullinax, both of Blacksburg; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs Terry Pleasant and Danny Bright officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
