ARC looking for disaster team volunteers

The American Red Cross is organizing teams of volunteers who are willing to be trained to be disaster assistance team members. DAR members respond to the scene of a disaster, most often a house fire, and offer Red Cross disaster recovery assistance to victims.

The half-day training classes will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Both classes will be at the Cherokee County Red Cross building at 405 N. Logan St. Attendance at one of these classes is mandatory to become a member of the team. Pre-registration is required.
