Free seminar on depression

A seminar on understanding, preventing and overcoming depression will be held Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Overbrook Community Church.

The seminar is designed to help those who wish to understand, prevent or overcome depression, family members and friends of depressed persons, and professional who work with them.

The seminar will be taught

The seminar will be taught by Dr. French O'Shields Jr. from his training and experience in psychology, psychiatry, theology and his own personal experience. He is author of Slaying the Giant: Practical Help for Understanding, Preventing and Overcoming Depression and is a Minister-at-Large in the Presbyterian Church USA, Charlotte Presbytery.

There is no cost for the seminar or materials. Preregistration is not required but helpful in order to ensure your place and materials.
