The story follows four singing sisters from Muncie, Ind. - Kaye, Peggy, Cheryl and Donna - as they make their national television singing debut. "Spotlight on Music," a fictitious weekly 1950's television show on the real-life Dumont Television Network, sets the framework for an evening of some of the greatest hits of the 1950s, including
Constantinople, Volare, Tennessee Waltz, Mr. Sandman, See The USA In Your Chevrolet, Tonight You Belong To Me, I'm Sorry, Dedicated To The One I Love, Tammy, Johnny Angel, Puppy Love, Little Darlin', Where The Boys Are, Shi-Boom, Love Letters In The Sand, How Much Is That Doggie In The Window, L-O-V-E and many others.
Those attending The Taffetas's show will remember what Sunday night television was like on a 12-inch black and white screen.
The Arts Council's 2007- 2008 season will be completed with an additional performance from the Palmetto Mastersingers on April 10.
Tickets will be available at the door for the performance for $15 per person.
