Thomas S. Andrews

SHELBY - Thomas Samuel Andrews, 66, of 867 East Zion Church Road, Apt. 42, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at his home.

A native of Greenville County, Mr. Andrews was the son of Alie Putnam Andrews of Shelby and the late Horace Quince Andrews. He was selfemployed as a contractor.

In addition to his mother, survivors include four sons, James P. Andrews of Gaffney, John F. Andrews of Clarksville, Tenn., Thomas S. Andrews of Gaffney and Bradley J. Andrews of Blacksburg; two daughters, Patsy A. Hardin of Blacksburg and Michell A. Landers of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Ronald Andrews of Blacksburg; two sisters, Carolyn Grigg of Clover and Sandra Cartee of Shelby; and 15 grandchildren.

In addition to his father, Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy A. Gay.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-3 p.m. with a memorial service following at 3 p.m. at Mt. Paran Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Moss officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
