Julie Braswell, 47, of 217 Cherokee Creek Road, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at her residence.

Born in Lapeer, Mich., she was the wife of Bennie Braswell and daughter of Dave Daley and stepdaughter of Patricia Daley of Dryden, Mich., and daughter of Alma Day Jones and stepdaughter of Don Jones, of Greenville.

Mrs. Braswell was a graduate of the University of Michigan and was retired from Daimler-Chrysler Corporation. She was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her husband, parents and stepparents, she is also survived by a son, Trenton J. Schoonover of Imlay City, Mich.; two stepsons, Bennie Braswell, Jr. of Harper Woods, Mich., and Charlie Braswell of Clinton Township, Mich.; two daughters, Shosha Schoonover of Eastpoint, Mich., and Ashley J. Schoonover of Lapeer, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Sandra Walton and Rashida Shack, both of Clinton Township, Mich.; three brothers, Dave Daley Jr. of Lapeer, Mich., Brad Daley of California and Stuart Daley of St. Cloud, Fla.; a sister, Georgia Gibbons of Lapeer, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and her favorite aunt and uncle, Arlene and Don Daley of Dryden, Mich.

The family will receive friends today from 10-11 a.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., immediately following the visitation, and will be conducted by the Revs. Alan Dollar and Dean Louw.

The family will be at the residence.
