Master Wildlifer II course Feb. 19-March 11 in Union Master Wildlifer II is an advanced satellite course designed for landowners, land managers and wildlife enthusiasts who are interesting in integrating wildlife considerations into their current land use and management activities will be offered Feb. 19-March 11 in Union County. Practicing land managers will find the course invaluable in highlighting alternative management approaches for wildlife in forest and farm settings. Special emphasis is placed on wildlife (game species) that currently offer landowners additional sources of income through recreational access fees. Course participants will obtain the knowledge and necessary tools to enhance habitat for a variety of wildlife species that can be enjoyed by themselves, family and friends, and outdoor recreationists. Master Wildlifer II is an advanced, up-to-date version of Master Wildlifer 2003 and 2005 courses and incorporates the latest research and management information from leading experts in the field of wildlife management. Master Wildlifer II will be broadcast live over satellite from Clemson University's studio and delivered to downlink sites across South Carolina in four 2-1/2-hour evening sessions beginning Feb. 19 and concluding March 11. Sessions will start at 6:30 with one break, a brief question and answer session, and conclude at 9 p.m. Session one on Feb. 19 will address management of bobwhite quail; sessions two on Feb. 26 will discuss management of white-tailed deer; sessions three on March 4 will examine management of the Eastern Wild Turkey; session five on March 11 with discuss management of native and planted wildlife foods.
