Lady Saints get win on Senior Night

Essence Greer made sure St. Andrews wouldn't spoil the Lady Saints' Senior Night ceremony.
Greer had 14 points, including 10 in the first half, and Limestone held St. Andrews scoreless in the game's opening 10 minutes in a convincing 78-43 victory on Saturday.
Limestone improves to 14-12 overall and 9-7 in Conference Carolina action.
Limestone's Ariel Lyons added 13 points and 6 assists, while Tiffany Jones scored 10 points and Lindsay Kyle had nine.
Addie Graves led Limestone with seven rebounds.
The Lady Saints went on a 23-point run to open the game. St. Andrews finally broke its scoring drought with a 3-point play midway through the first half.
The Lady Saints continued to dominate the remainder of the first half, taking a 45-13 lead into the break.
The Lady Saints shot 41.5 percent from the field and 78.3 percent from the free throw line. St. Andrews shot a miserable 27.1 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from the free throw line.
After the game, Limestone honored its seven seniors for their contributions.
In men's action, the Saints downed St. Andrews 72-61 to improve to 4-12 in the conference.
Limestone's Andrae Franklin had a doubledouble with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Marques Williams had a game-high 21 points and grabbed 5 boards, and Kenny White scored 14 points for the Saints.
St. Andrews' Colby Poe led his team with 20 points, and Bradley Hippolyte scored 10. Zack Garst had a team-high 7 rebounds and Joseph Gripper had six boards.
Limestone jumped to an early lead and never relinquished it.
The Saints outrebounded St. Andrews 37-33.
The Saints also enjoyed one of their best shooting performances of the season, making 51.1 percent of their shots, including 9 of 18 from beyond the arc.
The Knights struggled from the field, shooting 41 percent.
Both teams had a rough time at the free throw line, with St. Andrews making just 3 of 9 and the Saints shot 57 percent from the foul line.
Limestone travels to Banner Elk, N.C., to face Lees-McRae on Wednesday.
