Brady H. Pierce Served in United States Air Force for 12 years BLACKSBURG - Brady Howard (Teddy Bear) Pierce, 72, of 1829 E. Cherokee St., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at his home. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Dorothy Allen Pierce and son of the late L.D. Pierce and Emma Whiten Pierce. Mr. Pierce served in the United States Air Force for 12 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Bruce Pierce of Blacksburg, Timothy Cochran and Chip Cochran, both of Kings Mountain, N.C.; three daughters, Linda Cannon of Spartanburg, Pam Watts of Lawndale, N.C., and Dedra Porter of Blacksburg; a brother, Grady Harold Pierce of Oklahoma; two sisters, Margaret McDaniel of Gaffney and Lucille Batchler of Blacksburg; six grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Pierce. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30- 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Services will be held at the church at 2 p.m., immediately following the visitation, and will be conducted by the Rev. Terry Pleasant, the Rev. Chad Wisher and Dr. Jim McClure. Interment will be in Clingman Memorial Gardens, Blacksburg. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of S.C., 1612 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, S.C. 29341. The family will be at the residence.
