Myrtle E. Ronk

APEX, N.C. - Myrtle Easter ("Mom-Nana") Ronk, 66, of 1209 Wimberly Road, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at 11:02 p.m. in the comfort of her home with her loving family.

She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. at Olive Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Dennis Long of Apex and the Rev. Eric Nixion of Blacksburg.

Mrs. Ronk was the widow of James Edward Ronk Sr.

Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Emily Ronk of Cary, N.C., Tom and Sarah Ronk of Apex, Mike and Kim Ronk of Gaffney, Scott and Kim Ronk of Blacksburg; a daughter, Sue Will-Harvey Sorrell of Pittsboro, N.C.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, David Beaten, George Beaten and Joseph Beaten; and a sister, Henrietta Chimelis and lifetime friend, Tim Currin.

The family will have a gathering of family and friends immediately after the services to help celebrate her new life in Heaven.
