Charlie Bedford Morgan, 71, of 1109 Louise Ave., Charlotte, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at his home.

A native of Gaffney, he was the widower of Elizabeth Morgan and son of the late Bedford Morgan and the late Ollie Mae Morgan. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and later joined St. Paul Baptist Church in Charlotte. He was retired from Rae Construction Company of Charlotte.

Surviving are a daughter, Angela Morgan of Charlotte; two step-daughters, Linda Greer and Lillie Thompson, both of Charlotte; three sisters, Estelle Allen of Shelby, Lillie Jefferies and Laddie Lowery, both of Charlotte; a brother, Gerald Morgan of Jacksonville, N.C.; five grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; two uncles and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be held today at noon at St. Paul Baptist Church in Charlotte with the pastor officiating. Interment will be in Charlotte.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.
