Got a really cute photo of a really cute kid?

If you do, send it to Upstate Carolina Medical Center, and it might be included in the hospital's 2009 community calendar.

Each year, Upstate Carolina publishes a wall calendar, using the artwork or photography of local citizens. This year, 2008, general photography was used, ranging from classic sunsets to abstract streetlights. In 2009, only photos of children will be used.

The 3,000 calendars are provided free to the public each January as long as supplies last.

Glossy hard-copy photos can be left at the hospital's front desk or mailed to… Upstate Carolina Medical Center, 1530 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, SC 29340, attention Steve Wong. The photographer or the subject matter should have a connection to Cherokee County.

The return of photos cannot be guaranteed. It is best to send a copy. Be sure to include your name, address, and telephone number.
