Ethel D. McKinney

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Ethel Mae Denning McKinney, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, in Highsmith- Rainey Specialty Hospital.

Mrs. Mc- Kinney lived a full and eventful life. She was preceded in death by a son, George McCraw Smith, and a grandson, Dale Mason.

Surviving are a son, Alton Hare of Fayetteville; three daughters, Dorothy Mae Hare Edwards of Dunn, N.C., Wyoma Mason Dunn and Violet Young, both of Fayetteville; 14 grandchildren; 32 greatgrandchildren; nine greatgreat grandchildren; and a dear friend and roommate, Virginia Loft.

Mrs. McKinney was also preceded in death by a halfsister, Grace Ellen Parker, who lived in Gaffney.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert Ratley officiating. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at the funeral home.
