'Ray Bedford 100' set for Saturday, April 12 The annual spring fundraiser to benefit Iron City Ministries (ICM) will commemorate the loving and compassionate life of Ray Bedford, former director of the Cherokee Technology Center. This year's bike ride is entitled The "Ray Bedford 100" Memorial Bike Ride. Bedford was dedicated to the mission of ICM, and his support and organizational guidance during the bike ride will be deeply missed. The ride will be held Saturday, April 12 beginning at 9 a.m. at Iron City Place (across from Piggly Wiggly). All funds raised will be used for client expenses. There will be a lasagna dinner Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. at the Blacksburg Primary School. The popular Christian Group "High Calling" will perform. Registration for the bike ride can be completed at the dinner. All sponsors and riders will eat free of charge. The public is invited and the meal will be offered for a donation. |
