Wendy Michelle Strain and Shannon Wayne Bridges

Fulton and Becky Strain of Gaffney announce the engagement of their daughter, Wendy Michelle, to Shannon Wayne Bridges, son of Rick and Cynthia Bridges of Mooresboro, N.C.

Miss Strain is the granddaughter of Billy and Barbara Strain of Gaffney and Larry and Shirley Ellis of Mooresboro, N.C. A 2003 graduate of Gaffney High School, she is enrolled in the Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Program at Spartanburg Community College and is employed by Peachtree Centre as assistant activities director.

Mr. Bridges is the grandson of Mary Jo and Robert Whisnant of Ellenboro, N.C., the late Guy Bridges and the late Opal and Estelle Earls. A 1998 graduate of Crest High School and 2001 graduate of Isothermal Community College with a degree in advertising and graphic design, he is employed by Commercial Engraving in Greenville.

The couple will be married on May 10 at Lavonia Baptist Church in Mooresboro.
