ARSON - Gaffney Fire Department and Gaffney City Police are investigating an apparent arson outside the Broad River Baptist Association on Railroad Avenue. Someone set fire to a trash can located just outside the entrance to the Railroad Avenue building last week. Firefighters found the charred and melted remains of the trash can on the sidewalk. The fire discolored the building's brick facade. Police said the fire also damaged the edge of the roof and some vinyl trim. Ledger photo by TIM GULLA
