Dellinger, Wildcats blank Carolina, 10-0 The Blacksburg High pitchers are making it look easy. A day after Chase Norman tossed a 1-hitter to beat Southside Christian, Ryan Dellinger allowed just hits hits as the Wildcats improved to 3-0 in the region with a 10-0 win over visiting Carolina on Tuesday. "We needed to beat Southside Christian and Carolina and we did," Blacksburg coach Toby Elliott said. "Both Chase and Ryan did a good job. They were both very consistent." The Wildcats scored three runs in the first and added another run in the fourth. Brent Humphries knocked in two runs in the fourth to make it 7-0. Josh Scruggs, Ryan Greene and Tyler Moss had the RBIs in the Wildcats' three-run fifth. Norman struck out 11 in the Wildcats' 10-0 win over Southside Christian. Will Raines, Dustin Byars and Scruggs each knocked in two runs. Leading 4-0, the Wildcats sent 11 batters to the plate and scored six runs in the fifth inning to put the game away. Norman started the big inning with a single. After Humphries' single moved Norman into scoring position, the Wildcats followed with six straight RBI singles.
