Ernest Yvan Walker
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Walker was the husband of Lillian McDaniel Walker and son of the late James Herman and Mollie Robinson Walker. He was a disabled U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and worked in textiles. In addition to his wife, Mr. Walker is survived by two sons, Ernest Walker Jr. and wife, Linda, of Savannah, Ga., and Yvan Walker and wife, Judy, of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Scott Walker and wife, Sarah, of Greenville, Michael Walker of Greenville and Julie Ann Foster and husband, Wes, of Blacksburg; and two greatgrandchildren, Kyle Walker and Riley Foster. In addition to his parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by three brothers, Harrison Walker, Floyd Walker and Cecil Walker. Visitation was held Sunday, March 16, from 2-3:30 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary prior to the graveside services at 4 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Revs. Terry Lowe and Billy Sanders. Pallbearers were Wes Foster, Scott Walker, Michael Walker, James Edward Martin, Doyle Martin and James (Sam) Rumfelt. The family is at the home.
