SANDRA J. FITZGERALD

BLACKSBURG - Sandra Joyce Fitzgerald, 63, of 137 Pine Grove Road, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at her home.

A native of Shelby, Mrs. Fitzgerald was the widow of Bill Fitzgerald and daughter of Alda Mae Philbeck Grigg of Blacksburg and the late Benjamin Edward Grigg. She retired from Oxford Industries and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, surviving are four sons, Kelly Fitzgerald of Gaffney, Keith Fitzgerald, Kenneth Fitzgerald and wife, Tina, and John Fitzgerald and wife, Lisa, all of Blacksburg; a sister, Linda Little of Gaffney; and five grandchildren, Kristen Fitzgerald, Katie Fitzgerald, Anna Fitzgerald, Blake Fitzgerald and Jada Mayes.

In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Wylie.

Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Brian Harris and Terry Floyd officiating. Visitation was held from 3-4 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, N.C. 28150; or to Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 1184 Rock Springs Road, Blacksburg, S.C. 29702.
