Dean Williams
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Jo Frady Mode Williams and son of the late Clyde Williams and Fairy Sentell Williams and stepson of Margaret Hughes and her husband, Arnold, of Chesnee. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U.S.Army. He was employed by SLED and was a member of Love Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and step-parents, he is survived by two sons, Ricky Mode and wife, Kimberly, of Spartanburg, and Larry Williams and wife, Candy, of Gaffney; four daughters, Debra Wilson, Tammy Perry and Denise Dickson and husband, Roger, all of Gaffney, and Lisa Majeski and husband, David of Lake Ridge, Va.; a brother, Dale Williams and wife, Margaret, of Gaffney; two sisters, Brenda Godfrey of Blacksburg and Elaine Williams of Chesnee; 13 grandchildren, Mindi, Ashley, Rick, Sonya, Joshua, Jason, Joey, Eric, Heather, Kayla, Marci, Cameron and Pam; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Williams, and a sister, Betty Hammett. The family will receive friends Monday, March 24, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at Love Springs Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Bruce Randolph and James Price. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Love Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 554 Sunny Slope Road, Cowpens, S.C. 29330.
