Enjoy 'A Night Under the Big Top' at Children's Home auction, dinner
18th annual event April 18 at First Baptist Life Center
Plans are well under way for the 18th annual Cherokee Children's Home Auction and Dinner on Friday, April 18, in the Life Center at First Baptist Church.

The Cherokee Children's Home's Judy Nix (left), director of development, and Karen Lydon (right) are pictured with Donnie Hinton, owner of Brown Home Furnishings, who is again donating two $500 gift certificates for door prizes at the Children's Home auction.
Themed "A Night Under the Big Top," festivities begin at 6 p.m. with dinner and a silent auction. A live auction starts at 7:30 p.m. with Jim Sanders returning as the auctioneer. Sanders and his band of assistants will work hard to get the best price for each item while providing entertainment and a fun evening for all.

Admission is $15 for both the auction and dinner and the opportunity to win a door prize. You must be present to win.

Everyone is reminded to purchase tickets early since seating for dinner is limited. This year's menu will be Apple Smoked Pork Loin, Brown Rice with Mushrooms and Green Bean Almondine. Shane Clary, formerly of Gaffney and now living in Greenville, will provide dinner through Good Life Catering. Clary is the son of Keaton and Debbie Clary. Katie Baines is in charge of desserts and is getting delicious ones donated by some of the great cooks in the community.

Tickets may be purchased from any Children's Home board member or call 487-0177.
