Danni's gymnasts place in competition

Danni's Gymnastics competition team participated in the 2008 Capital Classic on Feb. 16-17 in Columbia.

Mackenzie Elmore, Michaela Lee and Hannah Bowers competed in Level 5. Mackenzie placed second on vault, second on bars with 8.9, second on floor and second all around. She also placed first on balance beam.

Michaela, also a Level 5 gymnast, placed first on vault, first on bars with 9.325, second on beam, fourth on floor and first all around with 34.825. Hannah Bowers placed sixth on vault, third on beam with 8.5 and sixth all around.

Maddie Norton, a Level 8 gymnastic, placed second on vault, fifth on bars, fourth on beam with 8.825, fifth on floor and third all around.

Aleka Tsiknias, a Level 4 gymnast, placed first on vault with 9.65, fourth on bars with 8.4, first on beam with 8.725, first on floor with 9.05, and first all around with 35.825. Aleka, daughter of Stratos and Janet Tsiknias, has been a gymnast at Danni's for almost two years and practice gymnastics approximately eight hours each week.
