David T. Young
Born in Hartwell, Ga., he was married to the late Nancy Ann Derrick Young and was a son of the late John Young and Martha Turner Young Davis. Mr. Young was retired from Duke Power and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Surviving are a son, Michael Young of Blacksburg; two daughters, Tina Reed of Blacksburg and Angela Young of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Rosie Pyle, Mikey Reed, Anne Reed and Robert Reed; four brothers, Rollie Young, Jimmy Young, Clarence Young and Ernest Young, all of Greenwood; and a sister, Mary Johnson of Greenwood. A Celebration of Life Service, with military honors, will be held Tuesday, April 8, at 2 p.m., graveside, at Clingman Memorial Gardens, conduced by the Rev. Brian Harris. You may visit with the family Monday, April 7, from 7- 8:30 p.m. at White Columns. Pallbearers serving are Pete Welborn, Raymond Welborn, Dwayne Welborn, John Lively, Dennis Hardin and Greg Smith. C. Cline Gore and family of White Columns have been entrusted with arrangements. |
