Former employee of Tussaroro Yarn and a beautician

Betty C. Vaughn, 64, of 295 Norman Blvd., died Monday, April 28, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Piedmont and was a daughter of the late Silas A. and Bessie Arrowood Coxie. She was a former employee of Tussaroro Yarn, was a beautician and also helped deliver for Meals on Wheels.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph L. Vaughn of the home; a son, Ronnie Vaughn of Gaffney; a stepson, Billy Joe ("Wormy") Vaughn of Laurens; grandson, Ronnie Vaughn Jr. and two nieces, Barbara Jane Starnes of Laurens and Mary Francine Jacobs of Manassas, Va.

Services will be conducted Saturday, May 3, at Gray Funeral Home of Laurens with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 2, from 7-9 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home in Laurens.
