Elizabeth Faye Parker Thompson, 66, of 270 Drayton Trail, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Chester, she was the wife of Roy Lee Thompson Sr. and daughter of the late Hilton H. Parker and Myrtle Darby Parker. She was retired from textiles and was a member of Draytonville Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, also surviving are a son, Roy Thompson Jr., of Gaffney; a daughter, Billie T. Webb and husband, Larry Gene, of Blacksburg; a brother, Alfred Parker and wife, Sarah of Gaffney; two sisters, Margaret Huffman of Gaffney and Shirley Rankin and husband, Wayne, of Gaffney; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Faye Garland.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Thompson, Chad McAbee, Dennis Hamrick, Cletus Hamrick, Jason Garland, Chris Thompson and Roy Thompson Jr.
