Shady Grove Church plans special Mother's Day service

Shady Grove Baptist Church, 712 Green River Road, will observe its annual Mother's Day program Sunday, May 11, during the 11 a.m. worship service.

Speaker will be Sister Cartisha Turner Bonner of the Kingdom Vision Worship Center in Starr, S.C. She is a "Mother of Joy and Faith" and wife of Elder Cornelius Bonner, a former member of Shady Grove Church.

The Deaconess, Trustees' and Ministers' wives will be in charge of the service. All mothers will be recognized along with the church's oldest mother, mother with the most children present during morning worship, and the mother who traveled the greatest distance to church, and others.

Following the service, the men of the church will honor all mothers with dinner.
