STAFF REPORTS

The Limestone men's lacrosse team will face New York Tech in a national semifinal on May 17.
The No. 5-ranked Limestone College men's lacrosse team will make its ninth straight NCAA Division II tournament appearance when the Saints travel to Old Westbury, N.Y., to face No. 2 New York Tech on May 17.

The semifinal sites and team matchups for the 2008 national tournament are set with Le Moyne (14-1) hosting Bryant (14-3) in the North Region and NYIT (11-1) hosting Limestone (14-1) in the South Region.

Limestone is in the hunt for its third national title. The Saints claimed the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2000 and 2002.

This year's semifinal winners will advance to the final, which will be contested at 4:30 p.m. on May 25 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

The game will televised live by CBS College Sports Network. That game will be preceded by the Division III championship at 1:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium and televised on CBS College Sports Network.

The championship provides for a four-team tournament. One team from each of the three regions (North, Central and South) and one at-large team from any region were selected to participate in the men's lacrosse championship.

Teams selected from the same region were paired for semifinal competition.
