Second suspect in string of burglaries arrested in Spartanburg A second suspect wanted by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office in connection with a string of burglaries was arrested by Spartanburg authorities. Jamie Jerome Hall, 30, of Howard Street, Spartanburg, was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center on 11 charges late Tuesday afternoon, including seven counts of burglary and two counts of grand larceny. Bond had not been set as of Thursday evening. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was looking for Hall as part of their investigation into five burglaries that occurred in Cherokee County between April 4 and April 28. Another man, Marcus Dewayne Carson, 30, of Spartanburg, was arrested in Cherokee County on April 28 on similar charges. The Gaffney Police Department reported the arrest of a 17-year-old Spartanburg girl following an assault at Gaffney High School on May 7. According to an incident report, the Spartanburg girl approached another 17-yearold girl shortly after noon on Wednesday and struck her several times in the head and face, causing various scratches and bruises. Police said the girl would not stop fighting even after she was restrained by a district official. |
